Scholarship Opportunities – Apply Now!
We know that college is a major investment for you and for your family. So, in addition to researching which school is the best fit for you, it’s equally important to pay attention to scholarship opportunities available at each of the colleges on your list. While many of you are in different phases of your application process, hopefully this information will be helpful as you seek out the best ways to pay for your education.
So you applied Early Decision or Early Action and were admitted? CONGRATULATIONS! Looking for additional scholarships? Then I highly recommend that you consider applying for these exciting opportunities:
Blank Scholarship: Write a 500-word essay about your own entrepreneurial experiences and how you’d take advantage of entrepreneurial opportunities at Babson. The Blank Scholarship is a $7,000 scholarship and takes financial need into account. And learn more about our Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship while you’re writing your essay!
Sorenson Scholarship: For students interested in the arts, applicants must write a 500-word essay focusing on how they would combine their artistic involvement with a business education. The Sorenson is a $5,000 scholarship and takes financial need into account as well.
Babson DECA Scholarship: This is the newest merit-based scholarship that we offer! If you go to high school in Massachusetts and have been involved in DECA, please submit a 500-word essay, a letter of recommendation from your DECA advisor, and a list of your experience with DECA at all levels. Click here for the essay topic. The DECA scholarship is $5,000 and does not take financial need into account.
Weissman Scholarship: The most prestigious scholarship available, the Weissman is a full-tuition award and includes a yearly stipend for your own independent project. Students interested in applying for the Weissman must fill out the Weissman application. Based on your application, we will select a group of students to come to campus in April and interview for the scholarship.
Did you apply Regular Decision? Well, we are still reviewing your application and considering you for some of our other merit-based scholarships that don’t require a separate application including the Presidential, Diversity Leadership, and Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership (CWEL) Scholarships. However, you are still able to apply for any of the above scholarships as well.
All scholarship applications are due by February 1, 2015. Any essays and other scholarship materials can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org – just make sure that you include your full name and the scholarship to which you are applying. You’ll never know if you would have received a scholarship unless you APPLY, APPLY, APPLY!! Every little bit helps towards financing your degree!
