An Unequal Playing Field at Babson
The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) has named Babson College winner in the College Division of the Field Maintenance Award. The award will be accepted by baseball coach Matt Noone at a reception in Philadelphia on January 5th.
The ABCA/Turface Field Maintenance Award includes one ton of Turface MVP, infield soil conditioner, and $400 of maintenance equipment.
Govoni Field, Babson's baseball diamond, is renowned throughout New England as one of the finest facilities in the region. Named after longtime assistant coach and marketing professor Norman Govoni and his wife Terry, the field is home to the highly successful Babson baseball team. The manicured diamond is a fully-enclosed facility with a natural grass surface and an infield of red clay.
