Rolling the Dice in China
Nehme E. Abouzeid MBA '03 (email@example.com) journeys to Macao, China this week to supervise the grand opening of The Venetian Macao Resort…a $2.4 billion mammoth complex with resort/casino, entertainment, shopping, and a 1.2 million square-foot convention center.
Abouzeid directs large-scale technology projects for Venetian's parent company Las Vegas Sands Inc., and says his Babson education showed him how to manage huge projects while keeping his entrepreneurial mindset firmly intact. An entrepreneur's perspective contributes a lot to billion-dollar enterprises insists Abouzeid. He estimates that 15,000 people, around five percent of the city's labor force will show up for work each day.
