Resource Update
The Library recently decided to discontinue some resources:
- Hoovers: Full Hoovers reports are available in Lexis-Nexis Academic.
- RDS Bizsuite: Use IBISWorld or BizMiner for industry content and Business Source Complete (EBSCOhost) for other articles.
- Mergent Online: Use CapitalIQ and Thomson One Banker
- Demographics Now: Use Simply Map.
- EBL (ebooks library): Though our EBL subscription was canceled, we still have access to those items we purchased while we subscribed. Also see ebrary, Books 24×7, and Safari Books

- BizMiner: Detailed industry analysis, reporting on more than 16,000 lines of business in national and local markets.
- eMarketer: Market research & trend analysis on the Internet, e-business, online marketing, media and emerging technologies. Aggregates and analyzes information from over 3,000 sources.
- ISI Web of Knowledge: Explore top high-impact journals with powerful tools such as cited reference searching and Author Finder. 256 categories thoroughly cover the social sciences.
- Mergent BondViewer: Provides US taxable and municipal fixed income and evaluation data. From pre-sale through defeasance, access a wide-range of bond data including both issuer and bond level terms and condition data, US taxable bonds, municipal bonds and retail notes.
- Mergent Horizon: Includes the most comprehensive database of US-traded companies organized by the goods and services from which they derive their revenues as well as their key business relationships.
- Palgrave Dictionary of Economics: An extensive and authoritative economics reference resource which contains over 1,850 articles by more than 1,500 of the world’s leading economists.
- RGE Monitor: Provides relevant insights on a broad range of crucial global issues including; global macroeconomics, emerging markets, geostrategic and long term issues, finance, banking, and world markets.
- SimplyMap: A web based mapping application with demographics, business and marketing data down to the census tract level.
- Ulrichsweb: An authoritative source of bibliographic and publisher information on more than 300,000 periodicals of all types – academic and scholarly journals, peer-reviewed titles, popular magazines, newspapers, newsletters.
