The President’s Gala!
I’m definitely looking forward to the President’s Gala tonight. It is one of my favorite Babson Traditions. This year’s theme is Havana Nights! Last year the featured dances included foxtrot, tango, and swing—this year CAB is spicing it up with another live band that will give more of a Latin feel! I’m curious to see what the night will bring. The doors open at 8pm, giving students the opportunity to have some delicious hor d’oeuvres while mingling and chatting with President Schlesinger as well as several other faculty members. It is a wonderful place to relax with professors outside of the classroom.
Even though I love the Smooth and Standard styles of ballroom, I’m definitely in the mood for some Latin and Rhythm music. My ballroom competition partner is coming tonight as my date, so we’ll be sure to bust out some dance moves on the floor tonight.
