Babson and Boston Change Leaders at the 2018 Ashoka U Exchange

Babson College is excited to co-host the 2018 Ashoka U Exchange, the largest convening of social innovators and changemakers in higher education, April 5-7 in downtown Boston.

The Exchange will bring together over 700 college and university professionals from across the globe to learn and share leading practices for embedding social innovation in higher education. Throughout the gathering, participants come together to share how they equip aspiring changemakers – through their classrooms, co-curricular programs, departments, institutions, communities, and beyond – to catalyze long-term, meaningful change and social impact.

In addition to a robust line up of sessions and workshops, The Lewis Institute has identified several site visits that will bring attendees into the community to learn directly from leaders about their tangible models of social change in action. Participants will have the opportunity to not just discuss theory, but the chance to experience how organizations, groups, and programs make social change happen. We’re delighted to showcase the local social innovation movement happening in Boston, and some of our partners include Bridgespan, The Base, Innercity Weightlifting, Artists for Humanity, and The Daily Table.

Babson and other area college students are able to gain free access to the Exchange if they volunteer for at least one day. If you are interested in volunteering and participating in the 2018 Exchange, please fill out this form with your availability. The Lewis Institute will be contacting all volunteers with additional information and details about their assignments beginning in early February.
