Good Business Fridays: Cultivating Social Innovation

Tomorrow marks our second Good Business Friday of the school year. These weekly conversations are a way to accelerate your journey around social value creation and amplify your impact in the space.  There’s something very special and almost counter-intuitive about the model. So much of our work at Babson is about purposeful, strategic action, It’s easy to think: “who has time to sit around and just chat?” But the reality is, a carefully built community of like minded people is one of the most important assets any entrepreneur can have.

Good Business Fridays gather people together who have an interest in combining social impact and profit, and provides a forum to start cultivating that community. I hope you’ll join us tomorrow at noon in the Reynolds Global Lounge as we explore what it means to create social value through business; what it means to be a social innovator.

This week the first 50 students to attend will also receive a copy of Seth Goldman’s (co-founder of Honest Tea) new graphic novel, Mission in a Bottle. He’ll be on campus this coming Monday, September 23rd, for a fireside chat with Heidi Neck sharing lessons learned from his work aligning mission with profit. DETAILS HERE.
