Babson to Offer Summer Experience for Entrepreneurs in San Francisco

This summer, we’re excited to offer Babson entrepreneurs another experience in San Francisco at Babson’s location in SoMa, the hub of the startup ecosystem.

Babson Summer Catalyst is a 10-week pre-accelerator experience in San Francisco designed to help early-stage seed-level entrepreneurs through co-working and access to the SF/Silicon Valley ecosystem.

Throughout the experience, Summer Catalyst teams are given key resources to get their business from a minimum viable product to a launched business. Teams will receive work space, advisors, and an opportunity to build a tight-knit community with like-minded entrepreneurs. The program offers an experiential learning process for teams to accelerate and scale their startups.

Within blocks of the campus are headquarters of some of the biggest names in tech, as well as a host of co-working spaces, accelerators, and VC firms, making San Francisco an ideal spot for budding Babson entrepreneurs. San Francisco provides entrepreneurs with access to the wealth of resources in Silicon Valley and expands the powerful Babson network.

The program supports Babson student entrepreneurs, as well as recent alumni and others outside of the Babson community. Up to 10 venture teams will be selected to participate and are provided shared workspace, mentorship, speakers, workshops, and pitch training.  The program culminates with a capstone event, Venture Showcase, during which participants pitch their businesses to an audience of students, faculty, alumni, and the investment community.  Participants will not be provided housing for the program but can benefit from living in one of the many coliving and entrepreneurial communities in San Francisco or the greater Bay Area.

The program starts on May 29 and ends on August 3.
