Saying Goodbye to your Internship

As I enter the eighth and last week of my internship, I think about my experience at this company. It was an experience that I did not expect, yet it is something that I would not trade for anything else.  In the past eight weeks, I have met other interns and employees that have helped me grow into the businesswoman that I am now. With my internship ending, I would like to provide some tips that I have picked up along the way about how to make an impact even when you are gone.

  1. Remember to connect with them on LinkedIn!
LinkedIn is a great platform to use to stay connected to everyone that you met during your internship. It allows you to remain updated on whatever is happening at the company once you are gone.
  2. Say thank you!
Thank your supervisors! Your supervisors and bosses were there for you to mentor you along the journey. Shoot them an email to let them know that you appreciate their help.
  3. Ask for feedback!
Ask you supervisors for feedback on what your strengths and weaknesses are. By doing this, you can show your supervisors that you are constantly trying to improve yourself.
