1. What is a Tech Company?
Airbnb, Lyft, Netflix. These companies are considered tech companies, but in reality, they are a hospitality, chauffeur, and entertainment companies that have been able to capitalize on the technological boom. These are just three of the countless “tech” companies that we spoke about at work today, but this same sentiment can be applied to almost every business going forward. If we keep thinking as every new up and coming company as a tech company, soon every business will be considered a “tech” company. We need to start recognizing these companies for what they are, technological leaders in their field or those in the same space (i.e. Taxis) will be left in the dust.
