All 11 teams at Babson San Francisco are building momentum and preparing for the August 4th Venture Showcase! This week, we had two *Hot Seats* and speakers Brad Kondracki and Mike Pestana from Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati (WSGR) and CiCi MacDonald from Chew on this Storytelling. We also had special guest Will Lamb, Dean of Babson’s Graduate School stop by our campus and meet our entrepreneurs 🙂

Big Travel team member, Sarath Chandran pitched their startup, an interactive online platform that connects student travelers to locals. After, Anthony Randazzo pitched his team’s startup, an automated investment service application focused on socially responsible investing (Grow). The rebuild team was attentive and engaged in giving feedback.

We then had office hours with Shaun Steingold, Babson alum and Managing Director of Momentum Labs, a company that acquires, operates, and scales mobile apps. Shaun provided preliminary thoughts on the entrepreneur’s startups. Later that week, Irene Koehler, Social Media Strategist, reviewed the team’s social media platform usage and provided assessment of their personal brand online.

Brad explained that WSGR has a strong history of counseling entrepreneurs and the firm has represented more than 300 public and 3,000 private companies including Twitter, Dropbox, Netflix, Salesforce, Google, etc.

Next, CiCi MacDonald helped our entrepreneurs dig deep and led a heartfelt storytelling workshop. She reminded everyone to keep the audience in mind, understand who is taking the journey, and know the ending. Everyone sat in a circle on the floor and shared their personal story on why they created their startup.

CaptufdrreLastly, we all went out to dinner and watched a movie together to unwind! It was a great opportunity to connect outside the campus/co-working space and recharge for the final stretch of SVP.
