First Week in Birmingham, AL

Wow has it been an exciting first week of work.
Last Thursday I moved down to Birmingham, Alabama for my summer internship. The environment in the south is a lot different than Chicago but everyone I’ve met so far has been extremely welcoming.
This summer I am working at State Traditions, a clothing company that makes state inspired apparel. My goal for the summer is to learn how to grow my own apparel company, Prep Traditions (no relation just a similar name!).
So far, I’ve spent time both in the warehouse and on the sales desk. These two environments have helped expand my knowledge of distribution and sales. The lessons I learned in TOM last semester have helped tremendously in the warehouse.
