Starting in the Minors

As long as I can remember I have been enamored by sports. This summer I am fortunate to be interning with a professional baseball team. Working for a professional sports team is truly a dream come true for me.

I am interning in the ticket office of the Lowell Spinners. The Spinners are the single A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. When the Red Sox acquire a new young player that they wish to develop, he will often begin that journey in Lowell long before playing at Fenway.

My main duties with the Spinners are to research, pursue, and secure new clients for the Spinners. Working in sales can be very challenging, but is immensely rewarding also. Leaving countless voicemails and being hung up on is not fun, but when you are successful the feeling of accomplishment and thrill of victory is unrivaled. I am also admittedly not the biggest baseball fan, football is my true obsession, but I have loved every day being with the Spinners so far. I still find it surreal that I get to go to work with a professional baseball team. I only expect things to get better as the season ramps up.

Anyone who would be interested in coming out to a Spinners game, give me a call at 978-805-5113.
