Cradles to Crayons: Snapshot of Volunteering at Babson

Brrrrr! As I stood at PepsiCo this past Saturday, with cold hands and feet, I was amazed at how many people were willing to take time out of their day to sort through donations. This weekend Babson hosted Cradles to Crayons and opened an invitation for all to come and donate part of their Saturday morning to help make blankets, sort through books, sort clothing, and write cards for less privileged kids. This experience was a big reminder that there is always more we can do.

Members of the Healthy Living Tower and I decided to go as a team, and we managed to make 3 blankets and sort through many piles of clothing. By the end of the day we had done enough to help over 200 children this winter. Honestly, I can’t think of a better way I could have spent my Saturday morning.
