5 Tips Before You Hit Submit – Part 3

I have definitely been on a blog hiatus but, now that my fall travel has come to an end, I am hoping to get back on the blog bandwagon! Both James and Hannah have provided some excellent advice and tips for before you hit Submit. Here are my words of (hopefully) wisdom:

Ellen’s Tip of the Day: The college process does not end at the application deadline.

Remember that admission buzzword “fit”? Throughout your college search process, you are on the lookout for those schools that would be the best “fit” for you. This “fit” is different for everyone but may be found in specific academic programs offered or the campuses that feel most comfortable to you. Even after you hit Submit, it’s important to continue to investigate which of your college choices will be the best place for you to call home for the next four years. You can accomplish this by contacting the admission office, reaching out to current students, or, most importantly, visiting campus. Getting a feel for what life is truly like at the schools on your list can help with your decision process down the road.

This process can be stressful, and we definitely recognize that. However, once you hit Submit, that application is now in our hands and out of yours. Be confident in the fact that you have done everything that you could to share all that you have accomplished. The waiting game can certainly be one of the most difficult parts of this process but it’s important to remember that it all works out and, with a little work and research, you will find the best fit for you! Good luck!
