The Bon Chic Life

As summer is dwindling down, I have taken the time to reflect on all that I have gone through and experienced. Coming back home to see my family and friends was wonderful and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to be an intern as well.

For 10 weeks, I worked at BCBG Max Azria Group, LLC as an eCommerce intern. Though fashion doesn’t come easily to me, I was able to appreciate my time there and grow professionally. The people I interacted with were genuinely interested in me and helping me learn. Using Demandware, a platform that is totally new to me, I was able to help with visual merchandising and web aesthetics across all three sites: bcbg.com, bcbgeneration.com and herveleger.com.

Additionally, I had the opportunity to conduct two different projects. One included analyzing BCBG’s Bridal site to its competitors and another project included coming up with suggestions for improvement for the Generation website. Knowing that my voice was heard in my team made me feel appreciated and debunked all the myths and stereotypes about horrible experiences working in the fashion world.

Overall, I’m happy to say that over the course of this summer, I have become confident in who I am as a professional and individual. Living the Bon Chic Life at BCBG was an experience I’ll never forget!
