Steering Committee Update

It’s been an event-filled few weeks for the Class of 2015 Steering Committee!

On April 3rd, the Annual “FME Dodgeball” competition was held. In an exciting best-of-three series, SOS Stamp Out Suicide defeated Critter Caps 2-1. After the competition, the champions took on members of the Class of 2015 Steering Committee, including advisors Dan Kwash (Assistant Director, First Year Dean) and Conor O’Brien (Program Manager, First Year Programs). The champions proved their worth with a decisive and quick victory.

The champions, SOS Stamp Out Suicide, will be immortalized on a plaque displayed in the Office of Academic Services.

On Wednesday, April 11th, the Steering Committee hosted its first ever Pub Night at Roger’s Pub on campus. Members of the class of 2015 enjoyed “fiesta” with a nacho and taco bar provided by Qdoba Mexican Grill. The event welcomed over 200 members of the Babson community and raised over $430 for the Needham Food Pantry. Students in the class of 2015 were also given their first opportunity to sign up for a trip to Six Flags New England amusement park at the event.

About 20 members of the class of 2015, along with some upperclassmen, traveled to Six Flags New England this past Friday, April 20th. We had a beautiful day to explore the park and enjoy some rides. Even Dan Kwash (Assistant Director, First Year Dean) got in on the action as he took on the “Bizarro” roller coaster for the first time!
