A Great Spring at Babson

It is the second half of the spring semester and we only have six more weeks before the academic year comes to a close.  There are many exciting events and programs taking place over the next few weeks, here just a few that I am looking forward to:

  • Spring Concert: Ke$ha’s Sleazy Tour on April 8th 2011
  • Babson’s annual Spring Musical: “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” April 1-3rd 2011.
  • Banana Splitting Day, April 21st 2011
  • FME Reports to the Community, April 25-28th 2011

In addition, the FME businesses are doing a great job with their sales on campus and off campus. The Reynolds Campus Center is busier than ever, with the FME businesses selling products at the carts. They only have the remainder of March and April to make their final sales before officially closing their businesses. I am looking forward to hearing the FME reports to the community at the end of April to find out all the important lessons learned about running a business.

Also, good luck and have fun to the students participating in the Coaching for Leadership and Teamwork Program this week; it will be a great networking and personal development experience.

The semester is going by fast, but I am looking forward to a very active summer on campus. Many first year students have signed up for summer courses, and I am looking forward to see the familiar faces over the great summer months at Babson.

The Class of 2015 is also starting to take shape and I am looking forward to meeting many of the new members of the Babson community in a variety of settings over the next few months. We are planning the details of orientation weekend, and we just finally picked this year’s summer reading. Stay tune for the book release!
