Summer Family Day

Josh Stevenson and students from the class of 2014This past Saturday was a great day for the Babson Class of 2014 and their families. The new students had the opportunity to meet fellow classmates and participate in a local community service activity. These activities were at locations that were reasonably close to Babson and included: Cradles to Crayons, Boston Restore Inc., Jones River Landing, West Suburban YMCA, The Greater Boston Food Bank, the American Red Cross, and Friends of the Homeless.   A special thanks to the Bernon Center at Babson for putting together these opportunities.

Meanwhile, the parents and other family members that remained on campus participated in variety of sessions to help them get acquainted with Babson. These interactive sessions were on topics thatincluded: Coaching for Leadership and Teamwork Program, FME and the First Year Seminar.

Once the students returned to campus, everyone reconvened for lunch outside the campus center and listened to a keynote address from President Schlesinger.

Everyone lingered for a while afterwards and continued to get acquainted with new friends and the members of the Babson community.  We were all grateful that the weather cooperated, because immediately following the lunch the skies opened up and it really started to pour.

All in all this was a great way for the Class of 2014 to kick off their Babson experience.
