SheaMoisture Powers Access for Women

An exciting new partnership with SheaMoisture is enabling us to expand our Babson Summer Study scholarship opportunities for female rising junior and senior high school students. The SheaMoisture #BreaktheWalls Scholarship at Babson will provide full funding for 10 young women through parent company Sundial Brands’ Community Commerce education initiative. The scholarship is part of SheaMoisture’s national awareness campaign, #BreakTheWalls, which seeks to highlight the struggles women of color face with finding their hair and beauty products in and outside of the beauty aisle.

This partnership is dedicated to providing access for women in underserved communities. At Babson and The Lewis Institute, we are big believers in the equalizing power of entrepreneurship, and are thrilled to be able to offer this expanded access to the Babson ET&A experience. We are even more grateful that this opportunity comes from an alumni run business, (Sundial Brand’s Co-Founders Richelieu Dennis ’91 and Nyema Tubman ’91 were both honored as recipients of our 2015 Changemaker Award), who are giving back in a most real and powerful way.
