Babson Among Top Colleges according to Forbes

Babson College, earlier named No. 1 College for International Students by Forbes, is among the top colleges on Forbes America’s Top Colleges list. Babson is also No. 61 for Private Colleges and No. 41 in the Northeast.  Babson is listed as No. 74 overall, up from 104 last year. Babson is the only school on the Forbes Top Colleges list that focuses solely on business education.

Forbes also recognized Babson with a Financial Grade A. According to Forbes, “Our GPAs and grades measure financial health as determined by nine components broken into two main categories: balance sheet strength and operational soundness, plus certain other factors indicative of a college’s financial condition, including admission yield, percent of freshmen receiving institutional grants and instruction expenses per student.”

Forbes’ Profile on Babson College

“Babson College is the only school on the FORBES Top Colleges list that focuses exclusively on business education.

Situated on the outskirts of Boston in Wellesley, MA, this small co-ed private school offers 27 concentrations – including entrepreneurship and business analytics – all resulting in a B.S. in business administration. Even so, at least half of required credits are in the liberal arts. Classes emphasize a hands-on approach, and all freshmen are required to start a business. Babson also offers undergraduate students the opportunity to spend a semester in the epicenter of tech entrepreneurship through its San Francisco campus.

It is one of a few schools that offers need-based scholarships for international students, who make up 27% of the undergraduate population, one of the largest in nation.

Notable alumni at Babson include Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda, CEO and co-founder of Zumba Alberto Perlman and billionaire Arthur Blank, cofounder of Home Depot and owner of the Atlanta Falcons.”
