Director of Public Safety and Chief of Police, James Pollard, appointed North Atlantic Regional Director for the IACLEA
James Pollard, Director of the Public Safety Department and Chief of Police at Babson was sworn in as North Atlantic Region Director following the Annual Business Meeting of the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) on June 27, 2016.
President Randy Burba gave the oath of office to Pollard at the end of the 2016 Annual Conference in Phoenix, AZ. Pollard has served two terms as President of the Massachusetts Association of College Law Enforcement Administrators (MACLEA) and, prior to that, he served as Secretary in 2013-2014. He is also a member of the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association (MCOPA) and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).
He has served as Director of Public Safety Department/Chief of Police at Babson and Olin College on Engineering since April 2011. Prior to that, he served for 33 years with the Public Safety Division at Northeastern University in Boston, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Detective.
Pollard’s term will run through June of 2017.
