Daymond John Wants You To Join Lemonade Day Boston

Because starting a business created a vision for the rest of his future, Daymond John, founder of FUBU and Co-host of ABC-TV’s Shark Tank, believes that this empowerment can be instilled in people of all ages–including kids.

Lemonade Day is a free, fun, experiential learning program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their own business — a lemonade stand. It began in Houston, Texas in 2007. Since then it has grown from 2,700 kids to 120,000 kids in 31 cities across America and Canada in 2011 — including ours!

Babson College, ranked #1 in the country for entrepreneurship education, championed the effort to bring Lemonade Day to Boston. Led by Babson President Len Schlesinger and his wife Phyllis, Lemonade Day gave Babson the opportunity to introduce entrepreneurship educational activities to young children. The program compliments Babson’s mission to educate leaders who can create great economic and social value everywhere.

The foremost objective of Lemonade Day is to empower youth to take ownership of their lives and become productive members of society — the business leaders, social advocates, volunteers, and forward thinking citizens of tomorrow.
