What’s TheraKnetic?
TheraKnetic is making recovering from a broken bone, or even surgery, easier. We help:

  • Patients stay motivated and get them to understand their recovery process
  • Physical therapists so they can deliver better care

What is the story behind your startup?
While brainstorming for Integrated Product Design, I drew inspiration from a previous hackathon project and pitched a wearable that could help with physical therapy. Our team quickly discovered that patients had a lot of issues with following their therapist’s instructions and staying motivated.

What’s been a big milestone/accomplishment you’ve made since Summer Venture Program started?
We are almost ready to launch our beta test and start collecting data at North Hill.

What’s been a big obstacle/surprise that you faced?
Coming in I excepted to be working mostly on technical development. However, I quickly discovered how the majority of time was spent on marketing and outreach, especially networking and travel.

Any tips for aspiring entrepreneurs that you want to share?
Reach out to everyone you know, it’s surprising how often they can help introduce you to someone you weren’t expecting to be able to talk to.
