The Six Power of Nice Principles
Linda Kaplan Thaler shared her “Power of Nice” Principles:
- Positive Imprints Are Like Seeds
- If you scatter them, they will sprout.
- You Never Know
- If you are rude to someone, because you think they don't matter…you never know. You never know who that person really is. You never know what impact they are going to have in your life.
- People Change
- You never know how your actions today will impact your life later. People will remember, for better or for worse, and as they grow and change throughout their life, from a bottom-rung assistant to standing at the top of the ladder, they will remember those who helped them along the way.
- Nice Must Be Automatic
- It has to be 24:7. It is easy to be nice to a boss. To truly tell what somebody's soul is like, watch and see how they treat everyone. From the support staff to the cleaning crew to the corner office.
- Negative Imprints Are Like Germs
- With speed of technology, the internet, and media, your negative imprints spread faster and further than you can imagine.
- You Will Know
- Your non-verbal communication speaks louder than your words. You will know when you meet someone authentic and when it comes to having relationships with clients…they will know if you truly are.
