Spend Spring 19 in San Francisco!

Babson’s Semester in San Francisco Undergraduate Program

Since Fall 2014, Babson undergraduate students have the unique opportunity to spend a Semester in San Francisco, a city known for its entrepreneurial activity, disruptive technology, and culture of innovation. The SF Bay Area is home to some of the most influential businesses + high growth startups in the world and is the leading center for venture capital investment. It’s also the 3rd largest hub of Babson alumni in the U.S!
All students enroll in 16 credits @Babson’s satellite campus in SF and take two entrepreneurship classes and two intermediate liberal arts classes. The curriculum is taught by Babson faculty via a combination of telepresence-video-conferencing and face-to-face sessions:
  • Consulting in Tech Entrepreneurship (EPS 4505)
  • Golden Cities: The West + Urban America (HSS 2007)
  • Revolutionary Stages + Stages of Revolution: Theatre, Politics, and Performances in the City by the Bay (LVA 2002)
  • Silicon Tech Ventures (EPS 4520)
In addition to learning about the Silicon Valley ecosystem, students have countless cultural experiences and excursions around San Francisco including visits to Chinatown, Castro, Mission, North Beach, Golden Gate Park, Haight/Ashbury, Giants game, Alcatraz Island, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, American Conservatory Theatre, and the San Francisco Mime Troupe. Check out a video of the Spring 18 semester here!
