A welcoming “Hand” from the team at The Center for Career Development

As the end of summer looms, the excitement about, and preparedness for, the upcoming fall semester is on the horizon. By now you are deeply entrenched in getting your student ready for his/her college journey and checking the ‘to do” list to make sure s/he is duly equipped.

We, too, are preparing for the class of 2021, with an exciting array of career programs and events scheduled for this fall. As you discuss the fall semester with your student, please encourage them to actively engage and take full advantage of all The Center for Career Development services and programs.

Prior to coming to campus, we encourage all students to complete their profile in Handshake (our online resource for everything career; job/internship postings, job fairs, externships, industry events, company visits, appointments with career advisors, etc.). A robust profile in Handshake will provide students with customized information, sent directly to them, based on their profile and preferences. Please encourage your students to complete their profiles, so they don’t miss out on relevant events and resources.

At Babson, we pride ourselves on the intimate relationships that are unique to a small school. To that end, we love to meet our incoming students. As such, The Undergraduate Center for Career Development is hosting an Open House on August 31st (information for students will be posted in Handshake) Please encourage your student to drop in and meet the team. We want to get know our students and learn about their career interests and passions.

Going away to college is a life changing experience. As students new to the campus and college life, we often “don’t know what we don’t know”. With that in mind, we have developed First Year Fridays, specifically designed for those who are new to campus. The program has been thoughtfully curated to best support the first years as they begin their college to career journey.

Welcome to Babson from the Undergraduate Center for Career Development Team!

We look forward to meeting you and your students this fall. Enjoy the rest of your summer!
