Need Career Help Outside of CCD’s Office Hours?

The Center for Career Development is working to make it easier for students to engage by placing some of its tools online, but students still aren’t utilizing all it has to offer. Here are three easy and online ways to utilize the CCD.

Virtual Office Hours

There are Peer Career Ambassadors on standby Sunday and Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:00 on Google Hangout. Sent them an invitation to hangout and they will be more than happy to answer your questions. Their account is ccdpca@babson.edu.

GoinGlobal

GoinGlobal is an online research tool available for students looking for employment abroad. It provides information about current trends in employment, the job search process, and interviewing and cultural advice for different countries. It also provides an internship search function and an employer directory that allows students to search for companies by location, industry, and size.

CareerBeam

I know that someone from the CCD has recommended that you check this out before, but most people I know still haven’t used all of its functions. This is another extremely valuable and under-utilized online resource the CCD offers in addition to its in-person advisory services. CareerBeam can be used for career discovery, resume and cover letter advice, interview prep, company research, and much more.

Next time you’re working on your career late at night, instead of waiting for walk-in hours or the next available appointment, check out these online resources. The answers to you questions might just be there.
