CCD is Open All Summer, Stop By!

June is here and your Center for Career Development staff is busily tackling our summer projects and planning for the fall. We are here all summer so if you are on campus stop by, say hello, grab some candy, and let us know what you are up to. We have Career Advisors on call, and are also taking appointments (schedule through Babson Career Connections), so be sure to keep your career plan on track even when you are off campus!

Did you know that the Center for Career Development has an Intern Sponsorship Program?  We are pleased that we were able to support 21 of the 45 Intern Sponsorship applicants this summer.  Grants of $1000- $3000 were awarded to students to help defer the costs of living while these students work unpaid or low paid internships. We look forward to hearing how the internships are going, and reading the blogs of our student interns. And speaking of blogging, are you interested in building your network? Our LinkedIn contact is looking for great blog posts from Millennials. Here are the topics they would like to promote over the summer. Let me know if you’d like to submit a blog for consideration, and I’ll be sure to pass it on!
• June: A Millennial on Millennials Everyone from employers to brands are desperate to understand how millennials think. What would you tell them? #MillennialMe
• July: INTERNING Share your best (or worst) internship stories. #Interning
• August: THE MENTOR WHO SHAPED ME Who has made the biggest impact on your life and what have you learned? Don’t have a mentor? Describe the characteristics of the perfect mentor or name your dream mentor. #Mentor

Have a great summer!
