A Break From Internship: Yallah, Lets Dance!

Going to see live music is one of my passions and I was so happy when I found out that the city of Haifa was going to offer 100 Live free concerts! The series was called Haifa Live 100 and to my luck, it was just a block from my apartment and workplace in Paris Square.

I am so thankful to have a great relationship with my boss Tamar and that night I met up with her and her family to see a few shows. Her son Omri is three and a half and he was dancing the night away. Every so often, he would stop and stare at the musicians in awe. Tamar’s daughter, Amit is is five and she held on to my hand and chatted off my ear in Hebrew…I understood about 10 words out of our entire one way conversation. I loved it. As it was approaching 10 PM, Omri, Ammit, and I held hands and we spun in circles until we were dizzy. What a fun night in Haifa!

Emily Levy is a member of the class of 2016 at Babson College with a concentration in Leadership. Her efforts in high school earned her a scholarship for the Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership at Babson and through her scholarship, she was chosen to travel to Rwanda to teach entrepreneurship with three peers this past summer. This past calendar year, Emily was elected Center for Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership Scholar: VP of Social Entrepreneurship, where she is in charge of planning at 8 person trip to Rwanda to teach entrepreneurship to high school students and local business owners. She also started the College of Immaculate Conception Women's Leadership Scholarship that will be sending two underprivileged female students to secondary school. She is also the Babson College Hillel: VP of Events, where she helps to plan weekly Shabbat dinners. She is a proud member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity, Zeta Alpha Chapter: Community Service Committee, where she recent helped to organize a fashion show that benefitted Dress for Success: Boston. Also, Emily is a key member and resident in Babson's Women Giving Back organization. Emily will be spending two months in Haifa, Israel, this summer doing an internship for the app Veems. Most importantly, Emily is passionate about women’s economic empowerment, women in business, and social entrepreneurship.
