Thanksgiving Break and a Sweet Return

While it is always exciting to be at Babson, a nice break is sometimes necessary. With the semester coming to an end, this is the time of year filled with projects, papers, presentations, and exams. So when I peaked at the calendar two weeks ago and remembered that I was about to have an entire week of no classes for Thanksgiving Break, I felt a strong sense of relief.  Last week, I spent an entire week at home in Seattle, relaxing, eating turkey, watching football, and enjoying time with family and friends. In hindsight, I am happy I was able to get so much rest during break, as I am confident it will carry me through the last two and a half weeks of the semester, with final exams and project deadlines.

Upon returning to campus, I was greeted with a couple of surprises. Yesterday, I found out that the Class of 2016 Steering Committee was offering Celtics tickets for this Friday’s game to students! Then this morning, as I was leaving my residence hall, I saw a table set up in the lobby. A few of the building’s RAs and couple Babson Police Officers were handing out free coffee and muffins for breakfast. That was the perfect treat for this cold Tuesday morning! Throughout the stress of the end of the semester, Babson always provides students with plenty of treats and surprises to ease the pressure!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!
