Women’s Overnight Weekend 2013

Women’s Overnight Dinner (Knight Auditorium)

After a high volume school vacation week, the fun rolled over into the weekend as our staff hosted the annual Women’s Overnight Program. Beginning on Saturday afternoon, we welcomed approximately 29 women to campus who interviewed for the Women’s Leadership Scholarship. Women selected for this scholarship have been recognized by our staff for their academic achievement and demonstrated leadership in school and community activities. If they choose to enroll at Babson, these scholarship recipients will be invited to join the Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership (CWEL), which includes mentoring, along with a variety of leadership development programs throughout their tenure at Babson. Later in the evening, this year’s Women’s Leadership Scholarship cohort of stellar young ladies joined 45 other female early-admits for a night filled with delicious dinner, guest speakers, cupcakes and hip-hop (sponsored by Babson Dance Ensemble), and an overnight stay with current Babson females on campus. In total there were over 100 early-admitted females in attendance, along with family, friends, current Babson students and staff.  It was a spectacular evening for these potential future classmates, followed by an equally great Monday morning as the girls were invited to visit a class with their host before parting ways until next Fall! The weekend was filled with chatter, laughter, bonding and the beginnings of true friendship! It was so great to see the Babson Class of 2017 starting to come together. We cannot wait to hear back from our participants to find out just who will be joining us at Babson.
