First-Year Senior Retreat

Hello All,

Last month I went on a retreat…This  wasn’t just any old retreat ; it was the First Year-Senior Retreat ! About 30 first year students and 4 seniors spent the weekend at Northeastern University’s Warren Conference Center where we took in some great advice from our senior leaders. At the retreat, I learned about four important lessons from the seniors. 1) Do not be afraid to try new things. (2 Failure is not always a bad thing. (3 Never ever give up. 4) Surround yourself with people who are loving and supportive. I felt like the retreat really showed me what my next four years at Babson will be like – difficult, stressful, fun and adventurous  Every single one of the senior leaders will graduate Babson College as completely different than they entered. Although Babson is an tough experience it seems like it is worth the effort. Although the seniors each had their own challenges the one thing they all had in common is that they sought  help from faculty and friends at Babson. Babson provided them with a support system which allowed them to make the changes they need to make in order to become more successful individuals. Needless to say, I am very excited for my four years at Babson and I am looking forward to any change that may come my way in that time. ( But lets face it, I am already pretty great)
