Back2Babson
Happy Monday Everyone! This past weekend was crazy here on campus because it was Back to Babson, also known as Alumni weekend. Babson alum travel from all over the world to visit Babson and become a part of our close knit community again, even if its just for the weekend. Alumni of all ages were everywhere on campus with their families sporting Babson gear and taking part in the many festivities including class specific gatherings, sporting events, and the harvest tent, where they serve food and have activities for children.
For those who were unable to make the trek to campus, there was even the opportunity to attend the events virtually. A “Back 2 Babson Channel” was set up with live feed and recordings of the various events so that those alum could feel like they were actually back at Babson. This weekend is great not only for the alumni but also for the current students in terms of networking opportunities. I think that the effort made by the school to make this weekend special really speaks to how much they truly value former students, whether you graduated just last year, twenty years ago, or even fifty years ago. I know that after I graduate I will definitely look forward to coming “Back to Babson” 🙂
