I’m Pretty Sure This is the Reason You Actually Go to College

Hi Everyone! My school week is almost over (thank you no classes on Fridays!) but that definitely doesn’t mean the work ends. In addition to school work, I have also been working on perfecting my resume and cover letters to begin applying for summer internships. It sounds crazy, but some companies begin recruiting interns for next summer this early in the year. Luckily, Babson’s Center for Career Development (CCD) is able to help students in pretty much any way possible. I am going to a one on one resume critique event tonight which should be really helpful in finalizing my most recently updated resume . They also held a career fair last Thursday with over 75 companies to help students with their job and internship searches. At the fair I was able to make connections with companies that I had a personal interest in such as The TJX Companies, L’Oreal, and Ross Stores.

In addition to their workshops and events, they also have a Career Connections website that is available exclusively to Babson students. This is where they post any internships or jobs with companies that are looking to recruit Babson students as well as any company specific events or information sessions on campus. You can even upload your resume and cover letters and apply right on the website. The office is more than committed to helping students find their dream jobs no matter what it may be, which is great because that is what you come to college for right?!
