Internship Fair

There are certain days at Babson when you walk around the campus and think wow, I definitely go to a business school. With students dressed to the nines in suits and ties, blouses and skirts and walking around with a folder full of business cards and resumes you know that there’s a big event on campus. Today is the internship fair, where students do their best to secure an internship for the summer. The fact that over thirty companies come to campus to recruit for internships makes the summer job search a lot less stressful. Here’s a highlight of a few of the companies that come to recruit on campus:

Not only are these companies the cream of the corporate crop, but they’re also actively recruiting Babson students, they come here eager to get members of the Babson community on their teams. A lot of this has to do with Babson’s amazing Center for Career Development. The CCD office helps students prepare resumes, cover letters, and even provides mock interviews. They also have a fantastic employer-in-residence program where you can schedule a mock interview with HR representatives from the employer-in-residence or just sit down with them and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of your cover letter or resume. This is a great opportunity to hear what the people who will be interviewing you later think about you and make changes before applications are due! The CCD office also has a great program for students who want to accept unpaid internship positions but can’t afford to do so. Every year CCD sponsors several unpaid internships, and it’s a great opportunity for the students and CCD, the students get a stipend and the CCD office gets a summer internship blogger as well as an interesting partnership with the company the student works for!

Thanks to Babson’s Center for Career Development for setting up the Internship Fair and all the help they provide us during the year!
