Web Chats – Interacting with the Babson Class of 2014

This past week we had our first web chat with the class of 2014. This is the first year we are using Babson’s Curriculum Innovation and Technology (CITG) group’s new Innovation Studio to engage with our incoming class. The technology is impressive and we all had we had lot of fun. There were only a few glitches, but it was our first time so things never go completely as planned. .

The topic of the session was Housing and Health, which are two very important issues for entering students. Lisa MacDonald, the Director of Residential Living and Sharon Yardley, The Director of Health Services, gave a brief presentation on their respective areas and provided helpful reminders to the class. We then took questions from the students who were watching the web cast live. Students asked questions ranging from what items they should bring to campus to what medical forms are needed for the NCAA.

Our goal is to provide timely information to our students and  to be available to students to answer questions. These web chats will also be available for students to view on-line throughout the summer as needed.

To view the schedule of the Web Chats we have remaining for the Summer of 2010, please check the our Class of 2014 Facebook Dean’s Group.
