Regenerative Business

We’ve talked repeatedly on this blog about the importance of relationships to all of us here at The Lewis Institute, and we’re particularly grateful for the time, talent, and expertise that our Senior Fellows in Social Innovation share with the entire Babson community and beyond. And we’re always excited when our Fellows have new and exciting material to share. Longtime friend and Senior Fellow, Carol Sanford, will be releasing her newest book, Regenerative Business, later this September. At a time when business is looking for authentic ways to grow and connect to society, Carol’s insights and experiences provide some of the best thinking for leaders not only in business, but in government, policy, and the social sector.

As our own Cheryl Kiser states in the book’s forward, “Regenerative Business honors what we know to be true. Creativity and innovation are inherent in human beings, and when they have a place to be usefully expressed, they provide the necessary energy for successful businesses and enduring societies. A regenerative business taps into this powerful source, fostering it, developing it, and harnessing it to improve life for customers and workers.”

And we’re not the only ones who have been inspired by Carol’s work. Here’s what Jeffrey Hollender, Founder & CEO or SustainNatural and Founding CEO of Seventh Generation said:

“Carol uniquely understands how to cultivate human potential by developing more conscious, creative, innovative, and intentional human beings. You will discover purpose in your work that will drive extraordinary results. You will find that you have the ability to develop capabilities that you never dreamed of. And perhaps most important of all, you will discover that your work can be fulfilling in numerous ways that deeply feed your soul.”

We can’t wait for the book and for The Regenerative Business Summit, and invitation-only experiential event for business leaders to engage their business and industry in social and planetary change, coming up September 25-27, 2017.
