Lifelong Friendships

This was my first away service trip and I am beyond glad that I had the chance to partake in the Vero Beach trip. Although the week was tiring and draining due to early mornings and exhausting work at the construction site, I would never trade this last week of my winter break for anything else. This trip has enriched my knowledge on the world outside of what I am surrounded back at home. In addition, it has reminded me of where I originally came from. The trip opened my eyes to other opportunities and skillsets that I could potentially use later in life. The relationships I have gained with other volunteers from Babson as well as homeowners, supervisors, workers, and volunteers from the area are the most valuable piece of this experience. I came into this trip barely knowing anyone to making lifelong friends.
