Attend the Summer Fancy Food Show (June 28-30) in NYC

For the last two years, I’ve had the great fortune to attend the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City. Edibles from all corners of the globe and the entrepreneurs behind them attend: there are 2,400 exhibitors from 80 countries and regions and all imaginable categories within the retail food world. The Show attracts buyers, distributors, investors, marketers, consultants and curious eaters.

In addition, the Specialty Food Association (the entity behind the Show) offers food-business education sessions and comprehensive market data, which it compiles annually in partnership with Mintel. In short, it’s an exceptional event.

This year’s Summer Fancy Food Show is June 28-30, and I’m thrilled to announce that through Food Sol’s network, we have been able to secure 4 “Premium Passes” for Babson students, which access both the Show Floor and the Education Sessions. [Note: the Education Sessions actually begin June 27.]

Four lucky Babson students will be able to attend for free. Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible. If you’re a registered Babson student, simply send a note to Food Sol Director Rachel Greenberger (rgreenberger1@babson.edu) for a copy of the application.

And wait, there’s even more…

Beyond access to all the learning, tasting and networking on offer at the Show, Food Sol is organizing a coffee meet-up with Babson alum (M’87) and regular Show Educator Bob Burke to chat food business and share tips on best leveraging the the Show and a special dinner with Babson Entrepreneur in Residence Gail Simmons (who lives in New York) for Monday, June 29.

So if you’re a current student food entrepreneur, aspiring food entrepreneur or are seeking an internship or job in specialty food, you do not want to miss this.

Application will be received on a rolling basis from now through April 15.
