On Our Way to CGI U

This Friday, I have the great privilege of accompanying 12 Babson students to the 7th Annual Clinton Global Initiative University Meeting. (You can read all about the Babson team here.)

I get to see the amazing ideas, passion, and accomplishments of Babson students all the time. But I’m reminded exactly how special this place is when an organization like The Clinton Global Initiative recognizes them as well. In addition experiencing all that CGI U has to offer, including hearing from President Clinton, Senator John McCain, and entertainer Jimmy Kimmel, the Babson team will have five students showcasing their Commitments to Action to 1200+ attendees at the CGI U Exchange: Daquan Oliver ’14 and Julian Addy ’14 for Recesspreneurs; Rene Del Castillo ‘14 for H2knO; Jeremy Cai ’16 for Sprout Bin; and Savitha Sridharan MBA ’14 for Aurora. Daquan has also been invited to join a panel session (Raising Money for Your Commitment) and was featured earlier this month as one of Five Black Student Leaders to Watch in 2014 by the Clinton Foundation.

Once again, Babson students are making headlines, and all of us couldn’t be more proud. We couldn’t help but have a little fun at our training last week with President Healey and invited a special guest to join our team photo.
