On Sunday, October 29, Nate Lawrie was featured on Shark Tank to pitch his business Brazyn Life, and the company’s launch product, The Morph—a collapsible, portable foam roller. He received a $250,000 deal with sharks Lori Greiner and Sara Blakely for 20% equity.

Lawrie is a former NFL player and an alumnus of the Babson Entrepreneur’s Boot Camp program through a partnership with The Trust (Powered by the NFLPA) and Babson Executive Education (BEE). He is now founder and CEO of Brazyn Life—a company dedicated to helping people achieve their fitness and health goals through innovative, high-quality, and travel-ready recovery and fitness tools.

Hear from Lawrie during Babson’s upcoming Entrepreneur’s Boot Camp Alumni Virtual Panel, Thursday, October 26 at 12 p.m.

Lawrie is a former All-American tight end for Yale who played eight years of professional football, including stints with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints, and Cincinnati Bengals.

“It’s extremely exciting,” said Lawrie. “I came up with The Morph because I desperately wanted something like it when I was a professional athlete. It took years of development to get the product just right, so it was thrilling to be selected to pitch it in front of the Sharks.”

Lawrie suffered a season-ending back injury during his 2006-2007 campaign with the New Orleans Saints, which kept him from competing in the playoffs. His recovery from that injury subsequently led him to rely on foam rollers to relieve the pain and tension in his lower back.

Brazyn Life has also introduced a series of innovative accessories to go along with The Morph, including a travel pouch, a mobility workout exercise booklet, washable roller covers in a variety of colors, and an extension kit that allows two Morph rollers to be combined into a single 30-inch long roller.
