Babson Hosts Fresh Check Day Bringing Awareness to Mental Health

Fresh Check Day

Fresh Check Day is an expo-like event bringing the community together to check-in on college students’ mental health. The event will take place April 7, from 11:00am until 2:00pm.

Fresh Check Day is a concept created by The Jordan Porco Foundation and designed to bring the whole campus community together to “check-in” on the mental health and wellness of college students. The event is free and has been organized by the Division of Student Affairs with collaborating campus departments at Babson and Olin College, student volunteers, and representatives of The Jordan Porco Foundation.

Park Manor Quad will be transformed into an expo-like atmosphere to bring together interactive exhibits combined with food, prizes, and giveaways. The booths feature peer-to-peer messaging in a positive, community-focused setting. This year’s event will include therapy animals, chair massages, face painting, a photo booth, yoga, and other fun activities.

The event will also be raffling off several items including a flat-screen TV and gift certificates for massages. Should it rain, the event will be held in Reynolds Campus Center.
