Campus Construction Updates
As students prepare to come back to campus this fall, we are excited to share updates on the various campus improvements that have taken place over the summer. These renovations enhance the student experience and the Babson campus overall.
A brief summary of campus improvements
Park Manor South’s renovations are scheduled to be complete at the beginning of the academic year. The residence hall, which will house 70 incoming students, underwent a complete renovation of student rooms, bathrooms, and common spaces. Many original design features were also restored. All residential spaces – including lounges, living room, kitchen and laundry area – will be ready for use when students arrive on campus.
Park Manor Central is currently undergoing a complete renovation and will reopen in fall 2016. Due to these ongoing renovations, we anticipate construction activity continuing in the Park Manor Quad for the duration of the 2015-2016 academic year. Construction fencing will be installed so that all construction activities are completely separated from pedestrian walkways to and from Park Manor South.
Roger’s Pub, formerly located in Park Manor Central, is being relocated to an addition to the Trim Dining Hall. This new space will offer an exciting new dining and social option for the Babson community. Phase one of these renovations, a “Grill Room,” will open this fall in a newly renovated area of Trim. Phase two, which includes a game room and restaurant, will open when the adjacent addition is completed in January 2016. Pending construction progress you may be able to preview the new venue on a hard-hat tour during Family and Friends Weekend, October 16-18.
