Actor Seth Gilliam Visits Babson
The Babson community will have an opportunity to meet Gilliam, and see him perform both in person and on film.
Starship Troopers / Film screening and Q&A: February 5, 7 p.m. Carling-Sorenson Theater
Set in the distant future, Starship Troopers (1997) follows a young soldier’s exploits in the Mobile Infantry, a futuristic military unit, against the backdrop of an interstellar war. The film, directed by Paul Verhoeven and featuring Gilliam in the role of Sugar Watkins, was nominated for a Best Visual Effects Academy Award. The film screening will be preceded by a conversation with Steven Maler and Gilliam. Support provided by the Malcolm K. Stearns ’81 Memorial Film Society Fund.
