This week we presented our mid-project status to ZBoard. We provided them with more information on their competitive analysis, market segment and promotional guidelines. This research helped the client gain a better understanding of their market and these promotional guidelines proposed the use of certain promotional tools. During the meeting, we were glad to hear that ZBoard’s customers are starting to receive their electric skateboards and that they are thrilled with the product. They are posting positive comments about their experiences and are also getting their friends excited about ZBoard.
This week we will also conduct a survey to analyze the value of ZBoard’s product features and to hopefully discover potential opportunities in the U.S. market in order to make ZBoard’s products more competitive. We will also tailor our promotional plan to fit their needs.
This post is part of a series featuring the progress made on consulting services to ZBoard by a team of Babson Fast Track students in Babson’s MBA MCFE class. ZBoard, a weight-sensing electric skateboard, won these consulting services as the result of a contest sponsored by the Startup America Partnership, Shark Tank’s Daymond John, and Babson College. The Management Consulting Field Experience (MCFE) provides graduate students an opportunity to deepen their knowledge and experience in an industry or career concentration.
