Babson Alumnus and Entrepreneur Honored by the White House
Babson Alumnus Shonak Patel ’06 of Boston will be honored by the White House as one of twelve AmeriCorps alumni that are “Champions of Change.” These twelve AmeriCorps alumni will be recognized for how they have applied their service experience to their careers and for the impact they have made in their communities.
Patel is currently the Co-founder of Gather Education, a virtual learning platform that allows students and instructors to interact virtually. Since graduating from Babson and finishing his service with AmericaCorps, Patel has also served as the CEO and Co-founder of a Swellr, a finalist for the 2011 Mass Challenge Competition.
