Babson Class of 2012 Joins Post-Graduate LinkedIn Society
Awaiting the Class of 2012 Toast
Undergraduate & Graduate members of the Class of 2012 joined the alumni LinkedIn society May 2nd with a Champagne Toast in their honor by the Babson Alumni and Friends Network.
Graduates received a copy of The Start-Up of You, a book by one of Babson’s 2012 Honorary Degree recipient, Reid Hoffman, cofounder of LinkedIn, as well as a Babson champagne glass! The Start-Up of You offers the best practices of Silicon Valley start-ups, and how to apply these entrepreneurial strategies to one’s career.
Class of 2012 members were invited to update their profile on the Alumni Directory and other Babson networks as the College welcomed the newest members into the Babson Alumni community.
Joining fellow classmates for this celebration were the dean, faculty, and Babson Alumni & Friends Network staff.
Reid Hoffman, Executive Chairman of LinkedIn and partner at Greylock Partners, and Maria Eitel, President and CEO of the Nike Foundation, will serve as the Babson College 2012 graduation speakers.
Hoffman and Eitel and will speak at both the undergraduate and graduate ceremonies on May 19, 2012. Eitel will receive an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters at the 10:00 a.m. undergraduate ceremony, and Hoffman will receive an Honorary Doctor of Laws during the Master’s ceremony at 2:30 p.m.
