Bridging The Cultural Divide Through Entrepreneurship:Update

“On Thursday, we held the Palestinian orientation at the Legacy Hotel in Jerusalem, followed by the Israeli orientation at the Peres Center for Peace in Jaffa, just outside Tel Aviv. Members of the faculty of the participating universities, representatives from the Consulate General and Embassy of the United States, and faculty member from this program, Shlomo Maital, Program Director Ted Grossman, and I were present. The students participated in a full day of information focusing on the program itself, entrepreneurship and innovation, speakers from the US government, and life at Babson and in the United States. They participated in hands-on sessions on entrepreneurship, learning to identify opportunities, and feasibility. The students left the orientation with a much better idea of how the program will be structured as well as with a desire to make the most of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work with another culture and create something truly extraordinary.”
