Babson Baffoonery – Yoga and Dancing

My colleague, Kathy Smith, enjoyed watching me embarrass myself and summed it up nicely in the piece below. Enjoy!

Babson’s first Buffoonery in 1992 featured an a cappella group, rock band and skit about a not-so-typical dinner party. If yesterday is any indication, the 25th Anniversary Buffoonery will make the founders of this irreverent MBA tradition proud!  Leading up to the main event this Saturday at District Hall in Boston, Dean Will Lamb, aka “The Jester” and Director of Admissions Jeff Carbone, aka “T-Rex”, rose to the Buffoonery fundraising challenge. With a little help from master of ceremonies Mark Gagliardi MBA’17, Will and Jeff’s performances in Olin Hall gave new meaning to Entrepreneurial Thought and Action!  The Jester (Dean Lamb) led dancers in his version of the Macarena and T-Rex (Jeff Carbone) instructed students in the art of dinosaur yoga. Along with members of the Babson community, their antics helped raise $1,200 toward the MBA Class of 2017’s $4,500 goal.  Buffoonery is an annual fundraiser for the Graduate Student Council, Class Gift and The Fund for Babson.

Keeping with Babson tradition, Saturday’s Buffoonery in Boston will feature students and faculty roasting members of the Babson community. No one is safe!
